It’s a Cyber Hat Trick! ISA Cybersecurity certified as a Great Place to Work® in Canada for a third time

ISA Cybersecurity is proud to announce that they have been honoured with a Great Place to Work® in Canada certification – for a third straight year!

The honour is a result of a thorough, independent analysis conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute® Canada. The certification is based on direct, anonymous feedback from all employees about their workplace experiences, including corporate environment, policies and programs, training opportunities, management, and compensation. The anonymous survey evaluated those experiences across five dimensions of a high-trust company culture: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and a sense of belonging. As in 2023 and 2024, ISA Cybersecurity received strong positive feedback from their team.

“We’re thrilled to receive this certification, which truly reflects the passion and commitment of the entire ISA Cybersecurity family,” said Kevin Dawson, President & CEO. “It’s especially meaningful because it stems directly from our team’s feedback, highlighting our ongoing commitment to creating a workplace that is as exceptional as our cybersecurity expertise.”

Dawson continued, “As a Canadian company, we take pride in navigating the complex landscape of today’s cybersecurity challenges. This achievement underscores our dedication to fostering top talent and innovation right here at home. It’s a testament to our team’s resilience and adaptability in these dynamic times, and we’re excited to continue growing together, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in Canadian cybersecurity.”

ISA Cybersecurity is one of Canada’s leading cybersecurity services and solutions providers. Proudly Canadian and trusted by clients from SMB to global enterprise, they offer a full range of governance, assurance, protection, detection, and response services for the public and private sectors. ISA Cybersecurity was also recognized earlier this year as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2025.

“Our success is built on providing an inclusive, open and equitable work environment. Since 1992, we’ve led the way by championing our four key values: explore, persevere, adapt, and uplift. These values inform everything we do, and demonstrate our commitment to our people-first approach, striving to create policies and programs that support our employees throughout their journey at ISA Cybersecurity,” added Andrea Bailey, Senior Director, People Operations.

“The Great Place to Work Institute® is the global authority on workplace culture. It’s important to recognize that GPTW is a certification, not an award. Getting this accreditation for a third year in a row is a confirmation that we’re still doing right by our team, and inspires us to continue to improve and grow the culture of our organization,” observed Bailey.

Highlights of ISA Cybersecurity’s policies and programs include:
  • flexible sick and personal days for all employees
  • generous health plan with an Employee Assistance Program and enhanced mental health resources
  • unique distance remote working policy to accommodate staff with families abroad
  • maternity and parental leave top-up
  • employee referral bonus of $2,000
  • RRSP matching and bonus programs
  • flexible work arrangements

ISA Cybersecurity also places great value on celebrating the contributions of all employees through the following service recognition programs:
  • annual and five-year milestone service awards and recognition
  • President’s Club recognizing special achievement awards like “Salesperson of the Year”, “Lost Without You Award”, “Rick Uhrich Founder’s Award”, etc.
  • “UPLIFT on the Spot” awards providing opportunities for instant peer recognition

Bailey also explained the importance of the culture of sharing and open communication at ISA Cybersecurity: “We work hard to ensure communication and support is available even in a flexible remote work environment. We always seek opportunities for our staff to get together, recalibrate on goals, have fun, and share experiences in person.

Information-sharing initiatives at ISA Cybersecurity include:
  • annual kick-off meeting to communicate strategic priorities
  • quarterly townhalls
  • scheduled employee feedback surveys and goal-setting focus groups
  • corporate Intranet and departmental home pages
  • weekly internal corporate newsletter

Recognizing the competition for top talent in the market, ISA Cybersecurity has emphasized unique enrichment opportunities for their staff. Their education programs include:

  • education reimbursement up to $2,000 annually for all employees to help them grow in their roles
  • employee-led learning and sharing opportunities to share expertise and experiences, network, and develop presentation skills
  • access to professional development resources
  • enhanced managerial coaching, training, and networking opportunities

ISA Cybersecurity has shown a consistent commitment to community service as well. In 2024, the company’s 12th annual charitable golf tournament raised a record total of $31,600 for ALS Action Canada. This significant contribution will empower critical research and provide life-changing opportunities for individuals and families who have been affected by ALS. ISA Cybersecurity also provides financial and consultative support for several colleges and universities in Ontario, and continues to hire interns and co-op students to help foster tomorrow’s generation of cybersecurity professionals today.
